Centuries-old tradition in metal and iron processing
The Hoesch Siegerland factory is closely connected with the Siegerland region: Iron and metal processing has a long tradition in this area. Iron was processed in a hammer mill in the 16th Century on our firm's site in Kreuztal-Eichen. The Eichener Hammerwerk (hammer mill) can be found in historical documents dating from 1540 for the first time. Based on this tradition, corrugated sheets and other galvanised roofing elements were manufactured up until the end of the 19th Century.

In the 1960s, Hoesch's Siegerland factory started production.
The Hoesch Siegerland factory brought the first continuous production line for trapezoidal profiles into operation. The first sandwich elements were manufactured by machine.

1965 – Hoesch's Siegerland factory set the pace.  What many others thought was impossible.
Hoesch's Siegerland factory have done it:
We combine plastic-coated, galvanised steel sheet and a polyurethane foam with excellent thermal insulation into a sandwich element, and we developed the first continuous production line for our new products in the world.
