Certificates

Official seals / certifications / marks

Approvals

Approvals are required in Germany for the use for products which are not, or not completely, regulated by a DIN (EN / ISO) standard. The approvals are issued by DIBT (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik - German Institute for Building Technology) and remain its property. The DIBT can therefore withdraw these approvals at any time. Depending on the type of approval, a minimum level of product quality can be set and monitoring (internal or third-party) can be demanded (⇒ Ü mark). Alongside the German approval, there is also a "European Approval" (ETA) which was revised from 1 July 2013. There are also further national approvals (like Avis Technique in France, for example).

IMA tested

Test and monitoring „made in Germany”. This certificate show evidence that a product was monitored (internal or third-party) in accordance with the associated German approval, and the minimum values of this approval were at least met. In this way they represent a quality mark.

CE label

CE labelling is mandatory for products which are defined in a European standard. According to the Construction Products Regulations, they are associated with a performance statement which the manufacturer/supplier must provide to its customers without being requested. The information on the CE label can be made according to various procedures. They only determine which information must be provided. No minimum level is determined, therefore the CE label does not provide a quality mark and is also not monitored (internal or third-party).

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is the quality management certification for a company which confirms that it has formed a structured organisation within which all key process or work steps are described with the aim to have consistent quality for its products and thereby guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction.

FM certificates

FM Approvals is a nationally recognized testing laboratory (NRTL) that tests and certifies products and services that meet its rigorous property loss prevention standards. Architects, consulting engineers, plant managers, and product buyers use FM Approvals to help them make well-informed decisions about which products and services on the market will best reduce property risk.  Hoesch Bausysteme has passed the fire tests in accordance with "FM 4880 for unlimited and fire behavior within the building" for all sandwich products which.  We also own the certificate “FM 4451” for trapezoidal profiles.

LPCB certificates

LPCB certificates are primarily used in the Great Britain area. They are available for various products and tests and serve primarily for the safety of the user. For Hoesch Bausysteme's products this is a fire test with quality monitoring, if successfully passed, an entry is made in the "Red Book". Without such an entry, the products may not be used in the UK. The receipt of the certificate is associated with repeat fire testing on small bodies of specimens during annual audits after the fire technical initial tests on a large sample. The certificate for Hoesch Bausysteme was carried out under the test standard LPS 1191 and has the main certificate number 657a, with sub-numbers for each of the tested products.

VKF / AEAI certificates

VKF / AEAI certificates are needed only for Switzerland. They are issued by the VKF (Association of Cantonal Fire Insurers). They include their own tests to determine the constructional material class according to the Swiss regulations for sandwich products. In the same way, the results for the fire resistance tests are implemented in the Swiss classifications.

A2 seal

A2 seals were created to document that all the products of the "isorock" range as sandwich elements are "non-combustible" (A2, s1 – d0 in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1), as a whole and not just the core material as with many of our competitors on the market.

ENEV seal

The ENEV seal signifies that, depending on the thickness, these products are capable in the simplified method of meeting the minimum reference values for roof and walls, or exceed the requirements in line with the Energy Saving Regulations 2009 (ENEV 2009). The minimum values are based on the U-values in conjunction with the operating temperature of the building.

Firetec

Firetec products have better characteristics in terms of the building material classification and / or the fire resistance. For these sandwich elements, a modified core material is used compared to the standard sandwich elements, this results in higher costs and justifies the higher price of the Firetec elements.
